KWSC fixes water supply, sewerage issues in city: Spokesman

KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) resolved complaints of water supply and sewerage in different areas of city even on public holidays.

According to spokesperson KWSC, work in Malir, Landhi, Gulistan Johar, Lyari, Nazimabad, Model Colony, Model Zone, Shah Faisal, Orangi, Scheme 33, Liaquatabad, Jamshed Town, Site Town, Gadap, Surjani, Jehanabad, Old Golimar, Bin Qasim Town and different areas of city has been initiated. Placing ring slab covers on open manholes and winching of various lines and leakages in water lines in Orangi, Malir, Metroval, Kasbah Colony, Site Town, Mominabad, Lyari, Shad Maan, Malir and Golestan Johar have also been taken. Various complaints have been resolved by taking measures to water supply via tankers and sewerage at various masajid, imambargahs, mourning assembly areas and procession routes. CEO KWSC Syed Salahuddin Ahmed said that officers and employees of Corporation are engaged in serving public round clock and in regard. He said that Corporation administration is taking vigorous steps to improve water supply on priority.
