KWSC fixes water, sewerage issues in parts of city: Spokesman

KARACHI: Chief Engineer Sewerage Aftab Alam Chandio said that Jamshed Town, Jalalabad, Nazimabad, Landhi Town, MA Jinnah Road, Soldier Bazar, Nishtar Park, UC 3 Jafar Tayar Society Malir, UC 10 Bhittaiabad, UC 2 Shah Faisal Town, Khokhrapar Model Zone, Kalakot Lyari Town, New Karachi Site, 7D Sarjani Town, Gharib Shah Road Lyari Town, UC 6 and 7 Baldia Town, UC 2 and UC 4 Jehanabad Site Town, Khadim Goth Sohrab Goth Town, UC 1 Saria Gali, UC 2 and 5 Model Zone, UC 1 Pathan Colony and UC 7 Site Town, UC 3, 6, 7, 12 Lyari Town, UC 6 Baldia Town, Bin Qasim Town, Orangi Town and different areas of city, sewage overflow has been eliminated by placing ring slab covers on open manholes and winching of various lines while leakages in water lines in different areas of city have also been repaired.

In addition, on instructions of CEO KWSC, various complaints have been eliminated by taking effective measures to supply and sewerage at various masajid, imambargahs, mourning assembly areas and procession routes. CEO KWSC said that Corporation is committed to ensuring comprehensive arrangements for Muharram this year.
