KW&SC completes 48 inch line repair work

KARACHI: On the instructions of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Water Trunk Main Water Corporation has compd the repair work of 48 inch MS rising main line in Karachi University.

According to the spokesman of the Water Corporation, gollowing the special instructions of Mayor Karachi, the Water Corporation officials completed the repair work within 28 hours and started supplying water from the University Reservoir to District Central, Gulistan Johar, Scheme 33 and Gulshan-eIqbal.

On the other hand the repair work of the affected 66 inch MS rising main at Hub Pumping Station has been completed and the rising main has been fully charged and normal water supply to the city from the hub pumping station has been started, it should be noted that Rising Main was affected due to sudden power breakdown and back pressure of water by K Electric at Hub Pumping Station last night and Rising Main inspection tee cover was broken, which was made in 6 hours. The spokesperson KWSC further said that the all-bulk pumping stations of Water Corporation including Dhabeji Pumping Station are fully operational and water is being supplied to the city as usual.
