KWSB not being privatised, says CEO Salahuddin

KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) is not being privatised and no any employee will be fired while issues of employees will be solved by sitting with all officials of CBE on Monday. CEO Water Board Syed Salahuddin Ahmed addressing participants during demonstration against privatisation by United Workers Front Alliance in front of MD Secretariat Karsaz said that my doors are always open for all employees. I am deeply saddened and sorry that funeral expenses and financial aid are not being paid on time. D-Finance Water Board issued notification yesterday according to which families of employees who died during service In order to provide relief, funeral expenses and financial assistance will be paid within 15 days. Reforms and further improvements are being made in medical department to provide better medical facilities to Board employees.
He said that providing better medical facilities more effective measures are being taken by management for welfare of employees. He said that payments will be made to employees through collection of land revenue. Leaders of United Workers Front Alliance ended protest. CEO Water Board and COO Water Board thanked. Engineer Asadullah Khan was also present.
