KWSB afoot to minimise water supply, drain snags

Karachi: Better strategy to improve drainage system across city is vital. We all work together for betterment of city, KWSB will definitely be successful pioneer in its original objectives, expressed by CEO KWSB Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed. Addressing sewerage executive engineers at MD Secretariat Karsaz in presence of COO KWSB Engineer Asadullah Khan, Chief Engineer Water/Sewerage Hanif Baloch CEO KWSB said that providing better water supply and drainage facilities to citizens is one of our top priorities.

He said that all complaints of drainage across city should be eliminated on an emergency basis. In this regard, effective steps are being taken by KWSB to make good quality manhole covers, He instructed authorities to request citizens to identify thieves of manholes and in this regard, full cooperation should be given to them.

On complaints of lack of staff from executive engineers, CEO said that approval will be taken from covering board for recruitment of health workers on daily wages in order to overcome shortage.

Necessary schemes to further improve sewerage system in city should be sent to standing committee for approval, So that better drainage facilities can be provided to citizens.
