Kundi terms supporting disadvantaged, govt’s top priority

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Faisal Karim Kundi said that supporting disadvantaged segments of society has always been top priority of present government.
Speaking during surprise visit to Benazir One Window Centre here he interacted with beneficiaries of different schemes of BISP at Centre and addressed their concerns. Faisal Kundi directed staff not to compromise on operations of centre.
He saw process of dynamic registry which was recently inaugurated by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said that only those deserving persons are eligible to get register in survey whose poverty score is below 32. Those having poverty score over 32 cannot be included in list of deserving.
SAPM said that although this centre is catering to needs of large number of populations and sometimes get overcrowded but BISP team is managing to facilitate them in an efficient way.
He said that strength of counters at dynamic registry of BISP was also being enhanced while 25 percent increase has been announced in quarterly installment of Benazir Kafalat which would be implemented during issuance of next installment.
