KU teachers continue boycott classes

KARACHI: Academic activities at Karachi University (KU) remained suspended for second consecutive day on call of Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS).

KU staff has been demanding release of complete selection board schedule of 2019 advertisement, requested chancellor to withdraw management’s case against appointments in Department of Mass Communication and immediate release of salaries of January of these teachers.

General body meeting of Karachi University Teachers’ Association under President of Association Dr. Saleha Rehman announced that if demands are not met by Friday, press conference will be held to announce future line of action.

“If complete schedule of 2019 selection boards wasn’t released by Friday, we will demand resignation of vice chancellor and director of finance.”
