KPRA surpasses revenue collection target for FY 2023-24

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has surpassed revenue collection target for financial year 2023-24 and has collected Rs 37 billion against assigned revenue target of Rs 35 billion.

This was told during meeting of Revenue Policy Board held here with Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan in chair, said an official press release issued here.  Ali Amin Khan Gandapur directed effective utilisation of information technology to bring transparency and capacity building to tax collection-related matters. He directed to give priority to digitisation process in those areas from where maximum revenue is collected. He directed initiation of steps to fill vacant vacancies to increase capacity of revenue authority. Besides, members of provincial Cabinet administrative secretaries and other concerned authorities also attended meeting. Meeting was briefed in detail regarding steps, success and other matters of revenue authority relating to increase in provincial government’s income. Participants of meeting were told that for current financial year 2023-24, authority was assigned revenue collection target of Rs 35 billion and so far, it has already surpassed target and collected revenue of Rs 37 billion. For next financial year 2024-25, meeting fixed revenue collection target of Rs 47 billion.
