PESHAWAR: Barrister Ali Saif spokesperson for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister expressed shock over issuance of arrest warrants against him in years-old case related to violation of environment laws in Islamabad.  A senior special magistrate of Capital Development Authority issued warrants, ordering Bhara Kahu Police to arrest PTI leader and produce him before court on January 11. Saif is accused of damaging environment in CDA’s Zone III. A challan in case stated that CDA staff had also tried to stop him but he continued anti-environment activities.

In statement, KP government’s spokesperson said he had never been informed about proceedings of case, adding that his legal team would handle case. Case suddenly came to notice of CDA and it issued warrants, he said.
