Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reaffirmed the province’s commitment to eradicating corruption, stressing a zero-tolerance policy against the menace.
In his message marking International Anti-Corruption Day on Monday, Gandapur emphasized that transparency, accountability, and strict enforcement of laws were central to his administration’s efforts to combat corruption. “Corruption has no place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” CM Gandapur declared. “We are ensuring transparency and accountability in every public project to safeguard public resources and uphold the integrity of governance in the province.”
He also highlighted the role of robust legislation, including access-to-information laws, in promoting transparency and discouraging corrupt practices. The chief minister noted that the KP government has been enforcing strict laws that provide citizens with the right to access information, further contributing to efforts to combat corruption. “These laws have been instrumental in reducing the scope for corrupt practices and promoting a culture of openness in the province,” Gandapur said.
