KP Assembly approves budget for running affairs of provincial departments

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has approved budget of more than one-hundred and fifty-nine billion rupees for running affairs of provincial departments for current month.
Session was chaired by Speaker Babar Saleem Swati. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur presented motion before house. House also unanimously adopted resolution to declare assembly chamber as polling station for upcoming presidential election on 9 of this month.
Expressing his views on floor of house, Sunni Ittehad Council leader Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani demanded Election Commission of Pakistan to give their party reserved seats of women and minority. Addressing house, Speaker Babar Swati said house believes in rule of law and has trust in courts that they will resolve these issues. Later, Speaker prorogued session for an indefinite period.
