KP apex committee calls for socio-economic development of merged districts

PESHAWAR: Meeting of apex committee of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held here with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in chair. Corps Commander Peshawar, Chief Secretary, IGP and high civil and military officials attended meeting.

Forum agreed to improve quality of life of people of merged districts and to pay special attention to socio-economic development of districts. It was also agreed to spend more financial resources for rapid social development in merged districts.

Forum also decided to continue joint efforts of civil government, security forces and people to deal with scourge of terrorism in province. Apex committee agreed on an important initiative of Chief Minister for families of martyrs of security forces.

It was decided to give financial package to families of 178 martyrs who were martyred during last six months. Committee also decided to use all available options for law and order in Kurram district by protecting life and property of people.
