Islamabad: Clearing air of uncertainty about his party affiliation, former Prime Minister and senior politician Shahid Khaqan Abbasi  categorically said he will contest upcoming elections only on ticket of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

Rumours started making rounds on social media that Abbasi was quitting PML-N and setting up new party comprising like-minded politicians since he resigned from party’s key post soon after Maryam Nawaz’s election as senior Vice President and Chief Organiser.

In an exclusive conversation with private TV channel, Abbasi said, “Only PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is my leader.”

 Khaqan Abbasi said that he had been loyal to PML-N for years and terms reports about forming new party as “Rumours”.
