Khairpur Chamber welcomes launch of ‘Pink Bus’ service in Sukkur

Karachi: President Khairpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shabnam Zafar, senior Vice President Sunny Krishna Chand and Vice President Muhammad Nadeem Warsi welcomed pink bus service for women under Peoples’ Bus Service in Hyderabad and Sukkur.

They thanked Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Minister of Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon and Sindh government on launch of pink buses. Shabnam Zafar said that women are 60 percent of country’s population but in history, it was never thought to run separate transport for them except Pakistan Peoples’ Party in Sindh. Government started pink buses initially in Karachi and later in Hyderabad and Sukkur.

Working women and housewives of these cities will be able to travel in modern and safe manner. It is reflection of Sindh’s vision of providing best facilities to people.

Shabnam Zafar demanded Sindh government to start pink buses from Sukkur to Khairpur as well so that workers can avail better transport facility besides jobs such act will jobs creating.
