K-Electric all set to drop bombshell on consumers

Karachi: K-electric requested NEPRA to scale up electricity tariff by Rs 4.49 per unit. K-electric in Karachi has filed application with NEPRA for enhancing power tariff under head fuel adjustment for month of March. According to which permission has been sought to increase price of electricity by Rs 4.49 per unit. On request of K-electric the hearing in NEPRA will be held on May 3. As result of approval of price hike request, K-electric consumers will have to bear an additional burden over Rs 6 billion.
