KDA conducts massive anti-encroachment operation in Mujahid Colony

KARACHI: Demolition operations against illegal constructions and encroachments by Karachi Development Authority (KDA) is continuing in compliance with orders of Supreme Court. Under direction of Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, staff of KDA State and Enforcement Department is conducting an effective operation against occupiers without discrimination. Series of operations will continue to vacate land occupied by mafia. Staff of State and Enforcement Department Mujahid Colony Wahid Colony Nazimabad Block B demolished illegal constructions.

Encroachments on 15 feet road are being demolished. Meanwhile, KDA staff also faced minor resistance. During operation, illegal shops, solid structures and encroachments were demolished using heavy machinery. Action against encroachment is being done under supervision of Additional Director of Anti-encroachment Jameel Ahmed Baloch, Assistant Commissioner Nazimabad, Zainab Jehandad.

Jameel Ahmed Baloch said that under direction of Director General of Karachi Development Authority, leased land will be restored to its original form, which was lost due to encroachment.

Action is being taken to clear KDA lands from encroachment. Operation will continue till complete elimination of illegal encroachment. Director Anti-Encroachment Ministry Waril, DSP of KDA Police, a heavy contingent of local police and law enforcement agencies were present.
