KBBC beats Bahria Club to lift title of 6th Commissioner Karachi Basketball Cup

Karachi: Karachi Basketball Club won the 6th Commissioner Karachi Cup Basketball Tournament by defeating Bahria Club by 41-42 points, in the final played at the International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, in the presence of hundreds of fans. The Chief Guest of the final ceremony , Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon distributed the prizes, in the final, Rajkumar Lakhwani scored 12 points, Saad Shamsi scored 12 points and Zain Tanveer scored 10 points on behalf of KBBC, while Danish Khan scored 15 points, Aun Akram scored 10 points and Zahib Khan scored  9 points on behalf of the runner team.  On this occasion,  Commissioner Karachi announced to applause that the administration of Karachi under the patronage of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah is promoting sports and using sports as means to promote peace and harmony in society.  He said that Karachi administration under thepatronage of CM has defeated terrorists with the help of the citizens, sportsmen and other stakeholders. He said that  today's enthusiastic gathering including a large number of women and children show that citizens are not afraid of the KPO incident and these people will fight terrorism at all levels.

The Commissioner announced that the national women's basketball championship will be held in June While  the historic coaching camp will also be organized during the summer holidays, which will be sponsored by the commissioner's office.  He congratulated the Karachi Basketball Association. Tournament committee chairman Khalid Jameel Shamsi, SOA secretary Ahmed Ali Rajput and Ghulam Muhammad Khan also addressed the event while Rotarian Sadaf Jan Baloch prayed for the martyrs of KPO incident in Karachi.
