KARACHI: Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Patron-in-Chief S M Tanveer-caretaker Minister of Commerce and Industries Punjab called for united efforts to overcome prevailing economic crisis, escalating production costs and surging inflation rates.

Acknowledging gravity of challenges business community is confronting with marked decline in textile exports he advocated for immediate action to boost cotton production and essential raw material for textiles. Efforts aimed at ensuring robust cotton crop this year have been steadfastly undertaken. He lauded Association’s dedication to facilitating economic progress.

KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman and Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya underscored Karachi’s pivotal role as nation’s economic nucleus. KATI plays pivotal role in this capacity.

Faraz-ur-Rehman lauded contributions of SM Tanveer to business community’s cause. Zubair Chhaya said strenuous circumstances they are grappling with acknowledged establishment of Investment Council by Army Chief as potential catalyst for investment. Senior Vice President Nighat Awan and Vice President Muslim Muhammadi also spoke.
