After a challenging year marked by Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, the Prince and Princess of Wales are embracing every moment together, determined to make this holiday season extra special for their family.
A royal insider shared that the couple is focusing on cherishing time with each other and their three children-Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis-after Kate’s battle with illness. The past months have been difficult for Kate, who underwent abdominal surgery followed by chemotherapy, but thankfully, she completed her treatment in September and is now recovering. The source revealed that the experience has given Kate and William a renewed outlook on life: “They’ve learned to take nothing for granted.”
As they move forward from the ordeal, the couple is more committed than ever to enjoying the little moments with their children, especially as the festive season approaches. With Christmas around the corner, the royal family is making sure this holiday is one to remember. “They’re going all out,” the insider told The Mirror, noting that there will be plenty of presents under the tree for the young royals. They plan to spend quality time together, making the most of the special occasion after a tough year. Despite his busy schedule, Prince William admitted he’s not quite in the holiday spirit just yet.
While distributing gifts to children at an event, he confessed, “Am I ready for Christmas? No, no way am I ready.” It seems even a royal can be caught off-guard by the festive preparations! The royal family’s Christmas plans this year include a gathering at Sandringham, where around 45 relatives are expected to join. It’s a rare opportunity for the family to reunite, as they are often spread out during the year.
With the holiday season finally here, William and Kate are looking forward to sharing moments of joy with their loved ones, making this Christmas especially meaningful after such a trying year.
