KARACHI: Aftab Hussain Ali and other aggrieved members of Karimabad Ismailia Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd (KIMCSL) have filed complaint with Registrar, Sindh Cooperative Societies against recent elections of Society held on May 26, 2024. They urged to take action as per law against Imran Arwan Panjwani who committed clear fraud by misrepresenting himself as member/flat holder as per Cooperative Societies Act 2020 (24) in 2020 when then Inspector/Administrator KIMCSL Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily illegally approved his nomination for post of Secretary and again in 2023.

They urged to take legal action and declare this elections null and void as it has violated Cooperative Societies Rules, Act and society's byelaws and rights of members by tampering records prior to election which was all in complaint filed with Registrar Zameer Abbasi, Assistant Registrar Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily. But no action was taken and then followed complaint which was forward to Assistant Registrar Hasnain Shah again with no action as per law.

They alleged there was tampering of member's list by Secretary-Imran Arwan Panjwani who misled committee under false pretenses in connivance with some officers of Registrar office in 2023 election. Panjwani was not flat holder/member as per Cooperative Societies Act 2020 section 24 who has previously got his nomination approved under same pretenses in connivance with Deputy Registrar Sajid Abdul Karim Surahiyo and Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily all on record and again in election 2023 in which Sajid Abdul Karim Surahiyo was involved.

Orders were issued by Deputy Registrar Naveed Abbasi who had no jurisdiction over by his own admission and when he was approached by some members he told them that he was told to do so by Sajid Abdul Karim Surahiyo even though he had nothing to do with that and yet that fraud took place and complaint was made against tampering of records for which Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily failed to take action as he was the one who updated member's list in 2020 as per law and yet failed at hands of Secretary Panjwani.

Panjwani has been violator along with his brother Irfan Arwan Panjwani in Karimabad Cooperative Housing Society where he enjoyed full support of Deputy Registrar Sajid Abdul Karim Surahiyo where Assistant Registrar Hasnain Shah. Accounts of society KIMCSL is pending since supersession as from 2019 to 2023 it is responsibility of Registrar Office to conduct Audit and present account and 2023-2024 was responsibility of current management even though Secretary-elect is illegally elected by fraud in connivance with then Election Officer Insp. Jahanzeb Baloch.

Election was conducted without conducting General Body Meeting and without fixing of accounts which is clear violations of Cooperative Societies Act, Rules and Registered Byelaws of society KIMCSL ST2 and office order No. RCS/KYC/478/2024 April 5, 2024 Para #3 Special Audit which should have been conducted and presented before General Body.
