Kareena responds to Bollywood boycott trend at Kolkata event

Actress Kareena Kapoor has responded to trend where some people are refusing to watch Bollywood movies. Kareena recently questioned how people will be entertained in absence of movies during function in Kolkata. Kareena was in Kolkata for Indian Chamber of Commerce-Young Leaders Forum event.
‘#Boycott Bollywood’ campaign began last year, before number of movies including Laal Singh Chadha, Liger, Brahmastra and Raksha Bandhan were released. Tendency had an impact on some of movies’ box office performance.
Kareena said, “I don’t agree with it at all. If that happens, how we will entertain, how will you have joy and happiness in your life, which, I think everybody needs And which cinema and films are promising, which we have always done, which films have always done. ‘If films aren’t there how will people be entertained.’
Kareena is working on number of projects. She will next be seen in suspenseful film The Devotion of Suspect X, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and based on novel of same name. Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma are also featured in movie. In addition to that, she also has upcoming, untitled movie from director Hansal Mehta.–Agencies
