Karachi cop killing: Investigation to be handed over to CTD

KARACHI: Investigation case into cop Abdul Rehman’s killing is to be handed over to Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD). Cop was killed in firing by Swedish-Pakistani citizen that took place in Defence Housing Authority Phase V when he was chasing suspicious car, last week.

As per police officials, written orders of transfer of investigation to CTD will be released soon as killings of policemen are always investigated by CTD. Khurram Nisar who shot dead policeman Abdul Rehman in DHA fled to Sweden. Killing of policeman in DHA Phase V took place around 12 o’clock at night. Police, in statement said that suspect checked in at Airport at around 4:11 am. Police contacted Airport authorities in this regard at 4:30 am.
