ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Asif asserted that justice should not be swayed by personal preferences or judge’s mood, emphasising impartiality for judiciary to function fairly.

Taking to X, Defence Minister warned that if justice is influenced, there will be “Dishonesty and be considered murder of justice”. He castigated PTI founder Imran Khan and his patron establishment and judiciary registered “Shameful dark chapter” in country’s history.

“When Imran Khan’s appeared before court, it reminded of judiciary’s debt on [PML-N supremo] Nawaz Sharif,” he said. He emphasised that those who claim to uphold rights of PTI founder Imran Khan should also acknowledge wrongs committed by judiciary in past.

Meanwhile, Asif stressed to ensure elaborate security measures within premises of National Assembly building and its lobbies. Speaking on National Assembly floor, he said that large number of unidentified individuals are often present at building entrance.

He noted that people congregate outside hall, in front of elevators, and in corridors, posing significant security risks. He said there was system for issuing passes to MNAs in past, which should be implemented strictly to maintain security in Parliament.
