Justice Naeem Afghan takes oath as judge SC

ISLAMABAD: Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan has taken oath as judge of Supreme Court (SC). Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has administered oath to Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan. Oath taking ceremony took place in SC. SC judges, senior lawyers and court’s staff attended oath taking ceremony.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan has served as Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court. National Judicial Council had recommended to make him judge of SC.

With elevation of Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, number of judges of SC has reached 14. Posts of 3 judges are still lying vacant in SC.
