ISLAMABAD: Justice Athar Minallah has raised many important legal and constitutional points during hearing of then appeals from former President late Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf. He remarked to his opinion matter of punishment of former President Pervez Musharraf is still there. It has not been suspended. In event of decision against Pervez Musharraf matter of his pension and privileges will rise.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa remarked court has stopped giving unnecessary adjournments now. We are giving you adjournment but we are not giving it happily. CJP gave these remarks while presiding over special bench during hearing of case. CJP remarked if there is no interest in appeals then we will dismiss it. Suleman Safdar said he does not want to pursue these appeals.

CJP remarked it is not civil case where directives are required to you. This is criminal appeal and if it is dismissed being not persuaded then negative impression will go. CJP got written decision remarking that Suleman Safdar is given time to contact family members of Pervez Musharraf in connection with directives. Lawyer Suleman Safdar is directed to provide contact numbers of heirs of Pervez Musharraf.

Hearing of case was adjourned till Wednesday.
