ISLAMABAD: Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan, poised to assume the role of the upcoming Chief Justice of Pakistan, has surprisingly tendered his resignation, according to information disclosed by a private news channel.

Ahsan, a highly experienced jurist within the apex court, has officially submitted his resignation to President Arif Alvi, sparking investigations into the factors contributing to his premature departure.
