ISLAMABAD: Justice Qazi Faez Isa has remarked such judges should be removed who are writing on order lawyers are on strike.

He remarked entire system runs on technicalities. We follow law and Constitution in court. Lawyers themselves formed law of conduct and judges and Parliament did not enact it.

He gave these remarks presiding over 2-member bench of Supreme Court during course of hearing of fine on account of theft of gas worth more than Rs 67800000 against Punjab industry Faisalabad.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa expressed displeasure with lawyers over mentioning of non-appearance of lawyers twice or thrice due to their strike in order of trial court.

He remarked how lawyers can go on strike. License of such lawyers should be revoked. This code of conduct has been made by lawyers on their own and they don’t follow it. Whosoever will go on strike then we should close such system of justice.

Counsel for Industry said if there is mistake of lawyer then punishment should not be given to client. Court dismissed appeal plea of Punjab Industry Faisalabad.
