Journalism fourth pillar of state: Governor Balochistan

QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Malak Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has said that journalism is fourth pillar of state. In his message issued by Governor’s Secretariat on eve of world press freedom day here, he said, “We believe in freedom of press and pen”.

Paying glowing tributes to martyred journalists, he said that journalists made us informed of latest news and events occurring around world in constantly changing world, adding that journalists were playing role of bridge between government and people. Despite facing financial constraints, persons affiliated with media were having capability to provide more to society, said Kakar, adding that connection with digital media was inevitable to be made in view of future of pen and paper less society.
