Karachi: Students of Jinnah University for Women Fatima Shahid, Ayesha Shahab, Diba Aslam and Syeda Nisa Fatima partnered with a private company to provide scholarships to ten students of a school under theme ‘contribute to community’.

Under guidance of Maria Syed, varsity students provided needy school students with bags, books, scholastic materials besides two-year scholarship enabling them to continue with studies.

After realisation that education in today’s era is very important and expensive for many parents girls started community development work in this direction. Education helps in building better future. Due to rising inflation, poverty and unemployment, many parents cannot afford educational needs of their children, they added.

This scholarship will cover all their educational expenses, uniform, bag, books and stationery etc. Scholarship will enable underprivileged children to reach their full potential by getting quality education. Maria Syed encouraged and guided us in this regard, they added.
