Karachi: Students of Jinnah University for Women of Business Administration Department supported children with disabilities to access mainstream education alongside their peers. For improved educational outcome for children with disabilities they provided them educational toys.

We selected organisations lacking in resources to provide education to disable children on approaching to 'Institute of Holistic Rehabilitation and Inclusion' with assistance of of Sir Yogi Wajahat CEO and Director of Rehman Foundation. School of Special Education is founded on belief that each student at their school is unique, with his or her own set of strengths.

We visited centre at Clifton and met Afia Wajahat, Programme Head and Faizan Methani Administrator. There were organised classrooms, indoor and outdoor activities, different rooms for different therapy like occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, behavioural therapy and cage therapy.  Educational toys include shape recognition, Montessori puzzles, alphabetic and counting recognition, wooden 3D name puzzle, columns blocks, drawing books, wooden shape colour, mathematical intelligence stick and some stationary to get education more easy for children.

Visit supports and motivates us to perform our role for developing community in better way. We would like to thanks course instructor Maria Syed and Sir Yogi Wajahat and all those who have directly or indirectly help us to avail this opportunity to do this project by serving community. Students said children with disabilities include long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments hinder in interaction and their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis.

Education is one of most effective ways to break cycle of discrimination and poverty that children with disabilities often face. Children with disabilities have right to education, learning, and employment opportunities and human development.
