Jinnah University for Women ‘going solar’: Nasir Shah

KARACHI: Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah announced that Jinnah University for Women, Nazimabad will transition to solar energy as part of Sindh government’s initiative. This announcement was made during Independence Day ceremony at University.
Ceremony attended by Chancellor Wajihuddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Dr Naeemur Rehman, former test cricketer Shoaib Muhammad, District Central Sports Officer Hajra Nawab and number of teachers and students was addressed by Nasir Hussain. He emphasised significance of freedom and sacrifices that led to creation of Pakistan. He urged audience to remember occupied Kashmir and oppressed Palestinian people on this important occasion.
Shah highlighted collective responsibility to contribute to country’s development. Event featured student presentation of sketch depicting Pakistan’s history, which was well-received by audience. Awards were distributed to students for their exceptional performance in various fields.
