JI Khi Chief demands deployment of 5,000 security personnel during LG polls

KARACHI: Karachi amir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem said that there must be heavy deployment of Rangers and Army at polling stations during Local Government (LG) polls in Karachi.
Addressing a presser when demanded deployment of 5,000 Army and Rangers personnel at polling stations on January 15 he said will write to Ministry of Defence, Interior Ministry and Chief of Army in this regard.
Hafiz Naeem said that following decision of Election Commission regarding polls, conspiracies are being cooked in Governor House. JI chief said that political parties who excel in impingement don’t want elections in city. While touching on soaring crime rate in Karachi, he said that Rangers must be given authority to combat issue.
