JI Karachi Chief demands Army, Rangers deployment

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi amir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman demanded deployment of Rangers and Pakistan Army in upcoming Karachi Local Government (LG) polls.
Addressing press conference at JI headquarters Idara Noor-e-Haq, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman demanded to ensure organisation of LG polls on January 15 and necessary steps to make polling process fair and free. He also demanded higher authorities make fool-proof security arrangements. He alleged that violations of election code are being made in Sindh.
He criticised Sindh government committed record corruption in province and its poor performance has been exposed before nation.
JI Karachi chief said that ruling Pakistan Peoples’ Party did not own Karachi but they want to occupy metropolis.
Naeemur Rehman said that there are 11 federal ministers of PPP but they did not play any role to approve water quota for metropolis.
Hospitals owned by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation including Abbasi Shaheed Hospital are turned into heaps of garbage due to government’s negligence.
