Jam Dharejo orders to prepare summary of 1bn for KATI

Karachi: Sindh Minister for Industries and Cooperatives Jam Ikramullah Dharejo issued orders to Secretary Industries to prepare summary of one billion rupees for development work of Korangi Industrial Area. Talking to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) members, he said that 5 billion rupees were approved by federal government and 2.5 billion rupees from provincial government for construction of roads in site area. Issue of Mehran Town will be raised in Cabinet.

Faraz-ur-Rehman senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Muhammadi, former Presidents Zahid Saeed, Masood Naqi, Danish Khan, Sheikh Umar Rehan, Gulzar Firoz, Saleem-uz-Zaman, Johar Qandahari, Farrukh Mazhar, Special Advisor to CM Sindh Faraz Abid Lakhani, Secretary Industries Abdul Rasheed Solangi, MD of Sindh Small Industries Shahid Ali Shah and officers of KATI were present.

Minister said that request will be made to Chief Minister for availability of ambulance and winching machines for KATI. Provision of more funds to KITE Limited and EDF will be done with mutual consultation.

Faraz Abid said that government is determined to promote industrialisation, ease of doing business and end dependence on imports.

Earlier, Faraz-ur-Rehman said that currently, industry is facing toughest conditions in history and economic crisis has taken serious turn. Cargo is stranded at port, destroying industries and leaving large numbers of people unemployed. Masood Naqi, Zahid Saeed and Sheikh Umar Rehan also addressed.
