IT Minister Amin, MQM-P Dr Maqbool, Korean CG Kim address IT Park groundbreaking event

Karachi: Information Technology Park ground breaking took place in Karachi by Minister IT Amin-ul-Haque. IT Park project is supported by South Korean government and Korean Eximbank in this respect issued soft loan for project. Korean CG Karachi Kim Haksang was also present. 

Project worth is Rs 42 billion is likely to create 20,000 plus jobs for IT professionals. MQM convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool stated that this was vision of MQM two decades back when IT industry via call centres were in its initial stage, we pitched idea to the then government. However due to inconsistent policy and political hostilities Pakistan IT sector remained left far behind.

Ameen during current period by taking drastic steps to boost industry done great job. It will not only increase teledensity but also facilitate cellular phone manufacturers to start making smart phones locally. Number of dignitaties,  diplomats, acadmia, professionals attended event.
