Islamabad suicide bombing suspects nabbed: Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah said that law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have arrested suspects involved in last week’s suicide bombing in Islamabad. “Banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) accepted responsibility for attack,” he told about incident, which claimed life of a policeman and wounded several others.

He said “Taxi driver is innocent” and he was not involved in attack as suspects had taken cab on rent from him. Suspects, according to Sanaullah, travelled from Kurram Agency to Rawalpindi. Last Friday, suicide attacker riding cab with woman blew himself up when four bike-riding cops of Eagle Squad intercepted them at Sector I-10/4 sending federal capital into frenzy. As result of blast a police official was martyred, while seven including a policeman and civilians were injured police told media. Later, joint investigation team was formed to probe suicide bombing.
