ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said we should not worry about Moody’s rating. “I will give reply to every ground on which Moody’s has made rating. There are three such rating agencies. One downgraded UK. This rating is for issuing sukuk bonds. We are not going towards it still. We have to improve economic indicators yet, he said this while talking to media men here.

He reiterated his government’s commitment to strengthen country’s economy by taking all possible measures. He said no one will be allowed to control rupee’s value artificially.

Minister said by every passing day rupee’s value is improving, however, he regretted that previous government devalued Pakistan’s currency artificially. He urged all political parties not to do politics over economy. He said charter of economy is need of hour and a consensus should be developed in this regard.

He said with improved rupee’s value our foreign debt has decreased by 2600 billion rupees within few days.

Case of not filing tax returns against him is baseless and just aimed at taking political revenge. Earlier, he appeared before Accountability court in assets related case. Court rejected warrants against Ishaq Dar and adjourned hearing till Wednesday.

Our export industry is very important, he said adding they have to give dollars to Pakistan through earning. I have said now stop thinking in dollar. Rupee will go up.

He held restrictions were imposed on Pakistan after it became nuclear power in order to teach a lesson to it. It cannot happen so now that someone plays game with Pakistan.

Talking about his case he said he never opposed accountability. If someone including him committed wrong then its price should be taken from him.
