Ishaq Dar, JP Morgan UAE MD discuss economic situation

Islamabad: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar met delegation comprising representatives of world renowned investment companies led by JP Morgan UAE Managing Director Imran Zaidi, finance division statement said. During meeting, delegation discussed economic situation and outlook of country.

According to statement, delegation held comprehensive discussion with Minister regarding International Monetary Fund programme, market perception and outlook as well as external account situations.

Dar shared economic outlook of country and said that despite challenging economic situation, government is steering economy of country towards stability and growth.

“Pakistan is slowly but surely moving toward economic stability and it is high time to invest in Pakistan,” he said. “JP Morgan Dubai’s Imran Zaidi briefed Minister on company’s profile and its financial services provided to various countries across world. Delegation appreciated policy steps taken by government for sustaining and boosting fiscal and monetary stability and expressed confidence in achieving sustainable economic development. Dar appreciated delegation’s positive intentions for economic prosperity of Pakistan.
