LAHORE: Chauhdry Pervaiz Elahi-led Punjab government decided to reduce security for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz. According to details, decision came during a meeting of Provincial Intelligence Committee headed by additional home secretary.
They also declared that security of prime minister’s house in Lahore will also be reduced. Currently, 266 police personnel were posted at PM Shehbaz Sharif’s house located in Model Town. Further instructions mandated a reduction in number of gunmen at Maryam’s residence in Jati Umrah, Raiwand.
Meeting also decided that after multiple, often deadly, attacks on polio vaccination teams, their security will be increased.
Moreover, they agreed to provide foolproof security to England cricket team for their Pakistan tour scheduled this month. Earlier this week, Maryam Nawaz visited victims of devastating floods in Punjab.
