KARACHI:The Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran-Karachi organized a thoughtful conference at its premises, with the participation of the eminent Shia and Sunni scholars for the purpose of analyzing the current situation of Palestine and Gaza and searching for a logical solution through research and mutual discussion to this issue.

Vice-Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Asadullah Bhutto, Deputy Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e- Pakistan Allama Syed Aqeel Anjum, President of Muttahida Ulama Mahaz Pakistan Allama Abdul Khaliq Fareedi and General Secretary Maulana Amin Ansari, head of Muslim League(N)Ulema-Wing in Sindh Syed Azhar Ali Shah Hamdani, General Secretary of Shia Ulema Council Allama Shabbir Hasan Maisami, head of Jamiat-e-Ahl-e-Hadith in Sindh Allama Murtaza Rahmani, Deputy General Secretary of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi, Dean Faculty of the Islamic Studies in University of Karachi, Prof. Dr. Zahid Ali Zahidi, head of Shia Ulma Organization Allama Sheikh Hasan Salahuddin and other prominent Sunni and Shia scholars delivered their speeches in this conference.

Cultural Attaché and Director of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran Karachi, Dr. Saeid Talebinia, delivered the opening speech at this important conference, which aimed to strengthen harmony and solidarity among religious scholars of the various Islamic sects to support the Palestinian issue. He strongly condemned the barbaric crimes of the Zionist government against the people of Gaza and all kinds of measures taken by some Muslim countries to normalize relations with Israel, calling the Zionist regime an illegitimate anti-human government.

He added that maintaining ties with Israel is tantamount to betrayal of humanity, Islam and Muslims. He praised the unprecedented successes achieved as a result of the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and appreciated the massive public gatherings and demonstrations held in Pakistan in support of the Palestinian people and emphasized the need to intensify this struggle. He said: The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its support to the oppressed Palestinians in all conditions.

Asadullah Bhutto said: In order to weaken the broad support of the Muslim Ummah for Palestine, the imperialist powers are trying to create division between Shia and Sunni sects in Islamic countries, including Pakistan, so that the Muslim people should fight each other instead of supporting the Palestinian Mujahideen. He said: We have to thwart the nefarious designs of the enemy through our unity and solidarity.

Allama Shabir Hassan Maisami said: The Al-Aqsa Storm Operation has failed the American dreams regarding the establishment of its complete domination in the Middle East. American designs were to use the illegitimate government of Israel along with its allied western countries to gain its total control over the Middle East.

Aqeel Anjum said: The Palestine issue is not only the issue of the people of the Palestinian land, but it is the major problem of all the Muslims of the world. We should unite the people of Muslim countries to highlight the importance of this issue and support the Palestinian people and the Mujahideen.

Deputy Secretary General of the Shia Ulema Council Allama Nazer Abbas Taqvi said: The Operation Al-Aqsa Storm won the support of the people for the Palestinians not only in the Islamic countries but also in the Western countries. The great show of global solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine over the past few weeks has been truly remarkable and unique.

Maulana Amin Ansari said: Some countries are proposing a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue, which the Muslim Ummah does not accept in any case, because the entire Palestine belongs to the Palestinians. Israel is an aggressor power that must leave the region at all costs

Syed Azhar Ali Shah Hamdani said: Earlier we only heard that the blood of martyrs revives sleeping nations, but today we saw its practical form. The blood of the Palestinian martyrs has not only awakened the entire Muslim Ummah, but has breathed a fresh spirit within them to unite for the sake of Palestinian freedom.
