In Gaza, a Qatari-brokered agreement facilitated the departure of both foreign nationals and critically injured individuals, while Israeli forces intensified their offensive in the besieged Palestinian territory. The arrangement was the result of negotiations involving Egypt, Israel, and Hamas.
Israeli airstrikes targeted a densely populated refugee camp in Gaza, resulting in the loss of numerous Palestinian lives. Medical personnel faced significant challenges in providing care in an environment where essential resources like food, fuel, and basic supplies were in short supply.
According to Gaza's health ministry, the combined impact of Israeli air and artillery strikes has led to the deaths of over 8,500 Palestinians, with two-thirds of the victims being women or children.
