ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar directed authorities concerned to pace up privatisation process of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), national flag carrier. In meeting with his Adviser on Aviation Air Marshal (retd) Farhat Hussain, interim Prime Minister emphasised ensuring transparency in process of privatisation.

He said privatisation of state-owned enterprises was on priority for government to save national exchequer from further financial losses. He said country’s aviation industry had high scope of growth through investment. Interim Prime Minister also directed out-sourcing of airport operations in bid to ensure improvement of services. Aviation Adviser briefed PM Kakar about matters of ministry and reform process.
