Interim PM Kakar, US special envoy Kerry discuss impacts of climate change

DAVOS: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and US presidential special envoy on climate John Kerry on sidelines of World Economic Forum discussed local and global impacts of climate change.

Two leaders discussed climate change-related challenges being faced by developing countries. Anwaarul Haq Kakar is participating in 54th Annual Meeting of World Economic Forum (WEF) being from January 15 to 19.

Upon his arrival in Zurich, interim premier was warmly received by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva, Bilal Ahmed, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland Amir Shaukat and senior diplomatic officials.

In meeting, he would deliver keynote address on ‘Trade Tech’s Trillion Dollar Promise’, Foreign Office spokesperson wrote her official X account. On sidelines of event, he will hold meetings with government and business leaders. During his visit, Prime Minister Kakar will lead special ‘Invest in Pakistan’ event.

World Economic Forum is an annual gathering of government and corporate leaders for discussions on contemporary trends and challenges, developments shaping world and charting collective policy responses.
