Interim PM Kakar reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to CPEC success

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to success of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Commitment was reaffirmed during Kakar’s meeting with China’s Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong, who is an official visit to Pakistan.

Interim premier extended warm welcome to Chinese Vice Foreign Minister and his delegation, expressing Pakistan’s deep appreciation for its all-weather, strategic, cooperative partnership with China.

Interim PM Kakar emphasised crucial need for both nations to maintain close collaboration for timely completion of ongoing projects.

Reflecting on his visit to Beijing for 3rd Belt and Road Forum in October 2023, he conveyed his profound appreciation for warm sentiments expressed by President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang towards Pakistan. He conveyed best wishes for Chinese leadership.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister thanked Kakar for courtesy call and provided insights into various meetings held during visit. He conveyed special greetings from Chinese leadership to Prime Minister.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister reiterated strong bond between China and Pakistan, referring to them as “Iron-brothers.” He assured that China would remain steadfast partner in Pakistan’s socio-economic progress.
