Interim Minister Ahmad Shah inaugurates ‘Muse of Indus’ exhibition

Karachi: Caretaker Minister for Information, Minority Affairs, Social Protection and President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Ahmad Shah unveiled ‘Muse of Indus’ exhibition, showcasing watercolour masterpieces of Moazzam Ali. Exhibition took place at local art gallery Clifton.
Ahmad Shah praised Moazzam Ali for skillfully capturing enchanting and beautiful culture of Sindhi women specially “Thar” on canvas through medium of watercolour.
During inauguration, Ahmad Shah expressed his participation in exhibition of this contemporary master, who has recently relocated to Canada. He emphasised his longstanding connection with Moazzam Ali, highlighting artist’s avid passion for global exploration.
“Moazzam Ali’s exhibition is visual journey into beautiful cultural tapestry of Sindh”. He acknowledged Moazzam Ali’s global acclaim, with exhibitions held in cities such as Karachi and Lahore, expressing admiration for artist’s focus on depicting women of Thar and Sindh in his artworks.
Portrayal of women in Moazzam’s pieces, characterized by nobility and beauty, stands out prominently. He underscored artist’s effective use of colours to convey his emotions. Exhibition features twenty-four unique artworks and is scheduled to run until January 15, 2024.
