In Karachi, the initial group of unauthorized immigrants has departed from the Haji Camp holding area enroute to Chaman.
This convoy is comprised of four buses transporting 120 foreign nationals who had been residing in the city without legal authorization. The journey to the Chaman border crossing with Afghanistan is being conducted with comprehensive security measures in place. These buses are carrying Afghan women, children, and elderly citizens.
One pregnant woman was prevented from joining the convoy due to medical concerns. Subsequently, a pregnant woman gave birth to a baby boy within a refugee holding camp located at the Chaman border today. The pregnant immigrant woman, who had been accommodated in the refugee holding camp, was transferred to DHQ Hospital under the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, given her pregnancy. At the hospital, she successfully delivered a healthy baby boy, and medical professionals have confirmed the well-being of both mother and child. The Deputy Commissioner stated that once doctors have declared them fit, the woman and her newborn baby will be repatriated to their home country.
The nationwide operation to repatriate unauthorized immigrants is currently in progress, following the expiration of the deadline set by the interim government on October 31.
