LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan warned that inflation will spiral out of control in country after passage of mini-budget.
Addressing nation through video link, he said that Pakistan will remain stuck in quagmire by accepting conditions of International Monetary Fund (IMF).
PTI Chairman said that only solution to country’s problems is free and transparent elections. He said that incumbent government was violating Constitution as it was responsible to hold elections within 90 days of assembly dissolution. “We sacrificed our provincial governments for general elections,” he said, warning of default if elections are not held on time. Imran Khan said that rulers are afraid that government with public mandate will come into power, adding that they were trying to arrest and disqualify him. He also warned to move court if government violates Constitution.
“Pakistan’s situation is like this cancer is being treated with disprin. Pakistan is plunging into more chaos and is at same place where Sri Lanka was,” Khan said. “Situation will become more fragile,” he warned.
“Inflation marchers have increased price of flour, ghee, dal, chicken and other essential items many folds,” he said. “We all have to fight together as one nation for true freedom because chains of slavery never fall automatically. Chains have to be broken.”
