Indonesian CG attends 18th My Karachi trade fair, praises brotherly ties

Karachi: Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi participated in 18th My Karachi Oasis of Harmony, biggest annual trade exhibition started on March 3-5 2023 in Expo Centre here. Exhibition is officially opened by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. attended by Sindh Labour Minister, diplomatic communities, and prominent business people.  Indonesian Consul General Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat stated that Indonesia’s participation in My Karachi shows strong confidence from Indonesia to Pakistan despite challenging economic situation prevailing now.

For opening of Exhibition, Indonesian children gave welcoming flowers to CM Murad Ali Shah as he arrived in Expo Centre.  Five Indonesian students who are part of joint research programme with ICCBS of Karachi University also performed Indonesian traditional dance, “Tor Tor” (from North Sumatera) which was highly applauded by guests and participants.

North Sumatera is province in Indonesia where many Pakistani overseas living in Indonesia.  For this year’s exhibition, along with Indonesia, other ASEAN countries, Thailand and Philippines also participating. Another country joining event is Sri Lanka.  Indonesian stall No.

2B3 situated at Hall 2 shows several Indonesian products such as consumer foods, information on trade and investment opportunity, Indonesian tourism as well as visa to Indonesia.
