Held SRINAGAR: All Parties Hurriyat Conference reiterating call for observance Indian Republic Day as Black Day has appealed to Kashmiris on both sides of Line of Control and abroad to take out rallies and protest demonstrations on Thursday.  Posters have appeared in Kashmir valley appealing people to observe Black Day and complete shutdown on Thursday.

A curfew-like situation prevails in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as troops have unleashed reign of terror and harassment ahead of India’s so-called Republic Day celebrations.

Frisking and random searches by the occupation troops can be witnessed across occupied territory. Every year, people of occupied territory observe complete shutdown on January 26 to mark India’s Republic Day as Black Day. APHC leaders Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zamrooda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Fareda Behanji, Dr Musaib and Abdul Samad Inqilabi in their statements in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to martyrs of Handwara and Kupwara on eve of their martyrdom anniversaries.

On other hand, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh talking to media persons at Samba in Jammu said that abrogation of Article 370 of Indian Constitution is serious issue. Lamenting continued suspension of democratic activities in occupied territory, he said that Bharatiya Janata Party has imposed an undeclared emergency in India and IIOJK.
