Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said that dozens of fake social media accounts to tarnish image of Pakistani actresses are being operated from India. Agency also revealed that several accounts have been operated from local cities including Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Islamabad.
According to sources, FIA said that process of identifying fake accounts being used to defame artists has now been started. Development took place after retired Army officer Adil Farooq Raja who is currently in UK made Vlog and made accusations against actors by mentioning their initials. Actresses including Kubra Khan and Mehwish Hayat approached Sindh High Court through separate petitions and asked court to direct authorities to take action against respondent. They also asked court to direct relevant authorities to remove defamatory content from social media.
